Job Opening: Roto-Paint Lead
Location: Vancouver, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- QC internal shots and external vendor work to a high level
- Generate accurately and articulated roto in Silhouette and Nuke.
- Work hand in hand with Comp for basic to advanced paint tasks.
- Provide estimates and deliver quality work within established deadlines.
- Attend production meetings, complete corrections/revisions based on feedback, and partner with compositors to complete shots
- Ability to provide estimates for workflow and schedules; delivers high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Share knowledge, and train and mentor staff with a broad range of experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
- College-level diploma or higher in computer graphics, fine arts, design, photography, or related field; OR at least five years of relevant professional VFX experience in lieu of education.
- Highly experienced with Nuke, Silhouette, and other modern roto/paint techniques.
- Strong knowledge of compositing workflows and other aspects of post-production.
- Strong knowledge and ability in perspective, photography, and physics of light and motion.
- Intermediate Compositing Experience required
- Eye for detail and high level of problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and leverage new software.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Strong teamwork and interdisciplinary thinking.
- Keen artistic eye.
