Job Opening: Lead Character Rigger

Job Responsibilities:
- Bringing characters to life using advanced scanning, rigging and animation techniques.
- Liaise with Project Leads to ensure work is delivered in a timely manner.
- Ensure assets created are stored in appropriate data repositories.
- Ensure that all assets are well-organised and optimal at all times.
- Use commercial and in-house tools to integrate characters, rigs and tools into the project data, ensuring data is functional and to a high standard.
- Request and develop enhancements of in-house tools as per project requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Demonstrate a portfolio of work – rigging experience for professional VFX or animation projects.
- Strong knowledge/experience of human anatomy and facial expression.
- Strong knowledge of Autodesk Maya humanoid and facial rigging.
- Programming/scripting skills (Python, Maya API, C++) for plugin and tool development.
- Understanding of animation processes with the ability to collaborate with 3D, UX and Programming teams.
- Good communication skills and the ability to write clear technical documentation.
- Have an artistic flair, good communicator, team player and capable of working towards tight deadlines.
- Experience working with VR.
- Interest in or experience working with / preparing assets for Unity Engine.
- Interest in or experience working with / preparing assets for Unreal Engine.
- Experience using Motion Capture techniques.
