3D Artist Generalist required at BUDGE

Job Opening: 3D Artist Generalist

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Design 3D environments;
  • Design 3D objects;
  • Character creation, rigging, and 3D animation;
  • Design textures and apply them to 3D objects or environments;
  • Creation of 2D concept art and design of objects in the style of the application;
  •  Design and colors of the various visual elements;
  • Creation of models for the different elements, “the gameplay”;
  •  Creation of 2D or 3D, static or animated “UI”;
  • Optimize, revisit, modify existing objects/models;
  • Optimize artistic “assets” (graphic vectors);
  • Participate in production development meetings/projects;

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in art and/or 3D modeling technique or equivalent;
  • A minimum of two or more years of experience in a similar role in the field of video game development;
  • Good knowledge of 3D / 2D guidelines for the production of assets/animation in video games (low resolution);
  • Expert knowledge of 3D Max;
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop;
  • Good knowledge of Maya is an asset;
  • Knowledge of After-Effects software is an asset;
  • Masters design and 3D modeling principles for video games;
  • Good command of 3D animation and creation of low-resolution 3D models;
  • Good command of drawing and illustration;
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
  • Good time management and compliance with production deadlines;
  •  Attention to detail;
  • Demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, organization, and discipline;
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
