Job Opening: 3D Artist Generalist
Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Design 3D environments;
- Design 3D objects;
- Character creation, rigging, and 3D animation;
- Design textures and apply them to 3D objects or environments;
- Creation of 2D concept art and design of objects in the style of the application;
- Design and colors of the various visual elements;
- Creation of models for the different elements, “the gameplay”;
- Creation of 2D or 3D, static or animated “UI”;
- Optimize, revisit, modify existing objects/models;
- Optimize artistic “assets” (graphic vectors);
- Participate in production development meetings/projects;
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in art and/or 3D modeling technique or equivalent;
- A minimum of two or more years of experience in a similar role in the field of video game development;
- Good knowledge of 3D / 2D guidelines for the production of assets/animation in video games (low resolution);
- Expert knowledge of 3D Max;
- Expert knowledge of Photoshop;
- Good knowledge of Maya is an asset;
- Knowledge of After-Effects software is an asset;
- Masters design and 3D modeling principles for video games;
- Good command of 3D animation and creation of low-resolution 3D models;
- Good command of drawing and illustration;
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
- Good time management and compliance with production deadlines;
- Attention to detail;
- Demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, organization, and discipline;
- Adaptability and flexibility.
